MACON, Ga. – The Mercer men's tennis team bounced back from consecutive losses in a big way in with a 7-0 win over Georgia College on Wednesday.
With the win, Mercer improves to 5-3 on the season.
Lucas Wayenburg and David Georgadze earned a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles. Andrew Branicki and Samuel Barrow picked up a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles with Danny Flynn and Samuel Macleod earning the 6-4 win at No. 3 doubles.
In singles play, Wayenburg earned the 3-6, 7-5, 11-9 win at No. 1 and Georgadze won 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2. Flynn picked up a 5-7, 6-3, 10-8 win at No. 3. Macleod was dominant, earning a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4. At No. 5, in his first action of the year, Marceau Fouilhoux won 6-4, 6-4. Barrow earned the 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 6.
Mercer will be back in action on Friday for a matchup with the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida.
