WACO, Texas – Six Southern Conference football student-athletes have earned spots on the Football Championship Subdivision Coaches’ All-America Team, as announced by the AFCA on Thursday.
 
Furman and Chattanooga had two selections each.
 
Four SoCon players earned first-team honors. Furman tight end Ryan Miller and Chattanooga offensive lineman McClendon Curtis earned spots on the offensive side, while Chattanooga defensive lineman Jay Person and ETSU defensive back Alijah Huzzie claimed defensive honors.
 
Furman offensive lineman Jacob Johanning and VMI long snapper Robert Soderholm earned second-team honors.
