GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer team is ranked in three polls this week following 1-0-1 week including a 1-1 draw against its first top-25 team in No. 15 Louisville and its first Southern Conference (SoCon) victory of the season.
Last week, the Spartans fell from the United Soccer Coaches National Poll, and are receiving votes for the second-straight week after being ranked for three-straight weeks.
UNCG continues to be the highest non-ACC school ranked, with Campbell University taking the 10
th spot, as the only other non-ACC school this week. The Spartans are sandwiched between the University of Virginia who is fifth and Clemson University who is seventh.
On Monday, the Spartans received a No. 13 ranking from TopDrawerSoccer and No. 22 ranking from College Soccer News.
Nationally, the Spartans are sixth in goal differential (19), eighth in total goals (27), ninth in scoring offense (2.70), 11
th in total points (78), 12
th in shots on goal per game (7.50), 13
th in points per game (7.80), 14
th in corner kicks per game (7.30), 16
th in assists per game (2.40) and total assists (24), 23
rd in shot accuracy (0.490) and won-lost-tied percentage (0.750).
UNCG leads the SoCon in assists per game, corner kicks per game, goal differential, points per game, scoring offense, shots per game, shots on goal per game, total assists, total goals, total points, and won-lost-tied percentage.
