Annapolis, Md. – The Citadel women's golf team opened play at the Navy Blue and Gold Invitational on Saturday at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course.
The Bulldogs closed out the first day by shooting a 358.

How it Happened
- The Bulldogs overcame some struggles on the opening nine as all five players improved their scores on the second nine.
- Paige Gilstrap led the way on the second nine with a five over par, including four-straight pars.
- Naomi Huang was able to overcome a tough start to close out her round with back-to-back pars.
- Kenzie McCallum, Maggie Parker and Mirabella Calabrese all closed out their rounds with a par on the par-5 ninth hole.
