GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro (UNCG) men's soccer standouts J.C. Ngando and Basile Marc were ranked among the postseason the TopDrawer College Soccer Freshman Top 100.
 
Ngando was ranked 23rd and Marc was ranked 88th. The pair helped UNCG enjoy a special season. UNCG won the Southern Conference regular-season championship. Winners of 13 matches this past season, the Spartans ended the season as the national leader in corner kicks per game (8.00), goal differential (38), points per game (8.39), scoring offense (2.89).
 
Ngando was named the Southern Conference Freshman of the Year. He was also selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team and College Soccer News All-Freshman Second Team. Ngando was named SoCon Player of the Week and selected to the College Soccer News Team of the Week on Oct. 26.
 
Ngando led UNCG with eight assists. He was second on the Spartans with five goals and 18 points. The native of Paris, France ended the season with at least one point in six of UNCG's final eight matches. He had a goal and an assist in a 6-0 win over Winthrop and scored the first goal during UNCG's historic 3-1 win over Clemson, snapping the Tigers' 626-minute scoreless streak.
 
Ngando finished the season ranked 13th nationally in assists per game (0.53) and 32nd in total assists (eight). 
 
Marc played in 18 games and made 16 starts. He was named to the All-SoCon Freshman Team. Marc scored his first collegiate goal in a 3-0 win over Wofford. He notched assists in games against Winthrop and Furman. Marc played a season-high 95 minutes against Virginia.
