MARTIN, Tenn. - The No. 17 University of North Georgia rifle team fell Sunday in a top 20 matchup to No. 20 UT Martin, 4608-4586.

The Skyhawks took the smallbore portion of the match by a 26 point margin, but North Georgia was the better team in air rifle, winning the discipline by four.

Dawson Kissick was the top shooter for UNG and the third best on the day overall, firing a team-best 568 in smallbore and a 586 in air. His air score was one point from the top of the event in the discipline, hitting back-to-back perfect 100 strings in the fourth and fifth sets.

Kevin Vaughn had the second best air score for North Georgia with a 583, while Jaden-Ann Fraser and Alyssa Kiser tied for the second best smallbore score for the Nighthawks at 566.

North Georgia will next compete against The Citadel on February 12 inside the COL Raymond C. Hamilton Rifle Range in Dahlonega.
