SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU’s Matt Scarr and Lindsey Stallworth have been named the Southern Conference men’s and women’s cross country runners of the week, respectively, for all competition to this point in the fall.
 
Scarr placed fourth at the Covered Bridge Open in Boone, North Carolina on Sept. 3. The senior from Wambersal, Australia, clocked a time of 25:17.0 in the 8K race. Scarr, who posted his third top-five collegiate finish, led ETSU to a third-place team spot, finishing behind team champion Florida State and App State. 

Stallworth posted a fifth-place finish at the Covered Bridge Open in Boone, North Carolina. on Sept. 3. The redshirt senior from Knoxville, Tennessee, recorded a time of 17:24:63 in the 5K race, leading the Buccaneer women as the fourth-fastest collegiate runner in the 130-runner field. Stallworth, who is the reigning SoCon Champion, collected her seventh top-five collegiate finish.

ETSU will compete next at the North Alabama Showcase on Sept. 17 in Huntsville, Alabama.
