Commish Chat is a series of one-on-one interviews between Southern Conference Commissioner Jim Schaus and various student-athletes, coaches, administrators, media members and more as they discuss SoCon athletics and issues that affect college athletics on a broader scale.

Schaus's guest for Season 2, Episode 1 is ETSU running back Quay Holmes. An All-American, three-time All-SoCon perfomer and member of the Walter Payton Award watch list, Holmes opened his season with 149 yards rushing in the Bucs' 23-3 win over FBS Vanderbilt last weekend.

Schaus and Holmes talk about that win and what it means to the program; ETSU's chances in a competitive Southern Conference; and what it has meant to him to be a student-athlete in the Southern Conference.
