Wolf competes in first two rounds at 2020 Olympics

The former Moc is tied for 39th after the first two rounds

SAITAMA, Japan – Former Chattanooga women’s golfer Christine Wolf is tied for 39th at 1-over-par 143 after the first two rounds of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics at the 6,648-yard Kasumigaseki Country Club Golf Course in Saitama, Japan.   

Wolf, who is competing for Team Austria, opened with a bogey on the first hole before firing seven consecutive pars in her Olympic debut on Tuesday. On the ninth hole, the Igls, Austria, native posted another bogey as she made the turn for the final nine. Wolf notched four birdies and three pars after the turn, carding an even-par (71), and was tied for 23rd to begin her run at the Olympics.  

On Wednesday, she opened round two with three straight pars and a birdie on the par-3 No. 4. Wolf then carded a bogey on No. 5 and followed with her second birdie of the day on No. 6, making the turn at 1-under-par (35).  On the back nine, she notched eight pars around a double bogey on the 13th hole to finish Wednesday’s second round at 1-over 72.  

Round three tees off on Thursday, Aug. 5, at 6:30 p.m. ET. The event will be streamed live on the Golf Channel from 6:30 p.m. to 3 a.m. ET.
