SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Five Southern Conference volleyball student-athletes were recognized on CoSIDA Academic All-District teams, as announced by the organization Thursday. Chattanooga had two selections while Samford, Western Carolina and Wofford each had one. 

Samford's Sierra Rayzor, Chattanooga's Brenna Everingham and Megan Kaufman, Western Carolina's Merry Gebel and Wofford's Riley Coonan were honored. Everingham, Kaufman and Gebel were recognized on the District 3 squad (NC, TN, VA), while Rayzor and Coonan were recognized on the District 4 team (AL, FL, GA, SC, PR)

 All five SoCon selections will now go to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. First- and second-team selections for that honor will be announced in early July.
