- Saturday’s championship match will be the fourth consecutive between Furman and ETSU. Furman won the 2019 match 4-2 and earned its fourth straight tournament title and 19th overall.
- ETSU advanced to the championship match for the sixth consecutive year with a 4-0 win over Wofford on Friday. The Bucs are 1-4 in their last five championship match appearances, falling to Furman three times and splitting with Samford. ETSU is seeking its second overall tournament championship, last winning in 2016.
- ETSU has made it to the championship match every year since rejoining the SoCon.
- Furman will be looking for back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back tournament titles, a feat that has not been accomplished since College of Charleston won five straight from 2009 to 2013.
- Three of the last four years, both semifinal winners advanced with 4-0 wins. Last year, Wofford won the doubles point in a 4-1 loss to ETSU.
- The Paladins and Bucs last squared off just one week ago in the regular-season finale. Furman won 5-2 in Greenville, South Carolina.
- Saturday’s winner will earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Women’s Tennis Championship.
