GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro senior guard Isaiah Miller has been selected to the Great Clips Slam Dunk Championship roster for the 32nd annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships at Hinkle Fieldhouse on the Butler University Campus in Indianapolis on Thursday, April 1.
Miller is one of eight players selected for the event that will air live on ESPN2 at 9 p.m. ET.
Two of Miller's dunks appeared on ESPN SportsCenter's top 10 plays: A reverse dunk against VMI was No. 3 on Jan. 30 and a one-handed slam off of an alley-oop pass against ETSU was No. 2 on March 7. He also did a windmill dunk in a game against ETSU and threw a ball off the backboard to himself that he dunked at North Carolina A&T. Miller's alley-oop dunk off of an inbounds play against Florida State in the NCAA tournament also went viral.
The only UNCG men's basketball player to participate in two NCAA tournaments, Miller is named a Lute Olson Award and Lou Henson Mid-Major College Player of the Year finalist. He was named to the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) all-district teams.
Aside from his individual accolades, Miller has helped UNCG win 100 games during his career. The Spartans have enjoyed five consecutive 20-win seasons. UNCG made its second trip to the NCAA tournament in the last four years. The Spartans also won a school-record 29 games and was a No. 1 seed in the National Invitation Tournament in 2019.
He was named as a finalist for the Lefty Driessell Award and the Southern Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Month for February. Miller finished his UNCG career with 1,967 points and 315 steals.
A 6-foot, 1-inch guard from Covington, Georgia, Miller was recently named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive season. He was also named the Player of the Year for the second straight year. He is the only men's basketball student-athlete to be named Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year in consecutive seasons. The Defensive Player of the Year award inaugurated in 2008-09.
He was also chosen as the Southern Conference tournament's Most Outstanding Player after leading the Spartans to the league championship and their second trip to the NCAA tournament in four years.
Intersport, producers of the event, invites 24 of the nation's elite men's and women's college basketball players to compete in the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships (eight dunkers, along with eight men's and eight women's shooters). The program showcases the dunking and sharp-shooting talents of the nation's top college basketball players during the Men's 3-point Championship, the Rocket Mortgage Women's 3-Point Championship, the Battle of the Champions, the Great Clips Slam Dunk Championship and the IHOP Team Shootout.
