INDIANAPOLIS – The Mercer Women's Basketball team learned it will face the top-seeded South Carolina Gamecocks in the Hemisfair region for the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Monday evening during the NCAA Selection Show.

The Bears (19-6) enter the tournament after winning their third Southern Conference Tournament title in the last four years. This will be Mercer's third trip to the Big Dance, having faced Georgia in 2018 and Iowa in 2019. This will be Mercer's ninth time playing South Carolina in program history and first since 2006.

Mercer heads to San Antonio having won eight-of-its-last-nine games, including a 60-38 victory over Wofford in the SoCon Championship game.
