SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU’s Tereza Melecka has been named the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 3-9. The selection is made by the conference office. 
 
Melecka tied for fourth at the River Landing Classic at 8-under-par 208, marking her first top-five finish of the season. The senior rom Belcovice, Czech Republic, posted three straight rounds below par to average 69.33 in scoring, including a season-best 5-under 67 in the second round. Melecka, who also posted her fifth career top-five finish, led the field in par-5 scoring at 4-under and her nine birdies were tied for the third-most in the 72-player field. She led the Bucs to a third-place finish at 10-under par 854, which set a new school record. ETSU’s 10-under in the second round set a single-round program record.
 
Next up for ETSU is the Pinetree Women’s Collegiate tournament on March 22-23 in Kennesaw, Georgia.
