SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference has announced that two previously postponed women’s basketball games have been rescheduled, while one contest has moved dates.
ETSU (3-12, 1-7 SoCon), which had its series with Western Carolina (5-16, 2-9) and Mercer (15-5, 9-2) postponed due to COVID protocols, will make up one game each against the Catamounts and Bears. The Bucs will host Western Carolina on Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m. ETSU, originally slated to end the regular season against Chattanooga (13-9, 8-5) in Johnson City, Tennessee, on Feb. 25, will still host the Mocs as scheduled before hosting Mercer in a makeup game on Saturday, Feb, 27, at 12 p.m. in the regular-season finale for both squads.
Additionally, UNCG (7-15, 5-8) and Western Carolina will now square off on Friday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. in Cullowhee, North Carolina to wrap up regular-season play a day later than previously scheduled.
The regular season concludes on Feb. 25 for the other four teams, ahead of the Ingles SoCon Basketball Championships presented by General Shale, which takes place March 4-8 at the Harrah's Cherokee Center Asheville in Asheville, North Carolina.
