SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., Ingles Markets and the Southern Conference announced Friday that they will again partner to broadcast an Ingles SoCon Game of the Week on select Nexstar affiliates throughout the spring football season, beginning with a pair of football-men’s basketball doubleheaders on Feb. 20 and Feb. 27. The Furman at Wofford contest on Feb. 27 has been selected for the wildcard matchup to close out the regular-season portion of the men’s basketball package.
 
The Nexstar football package will launch with ETSU hosting Samford for the season opener for both squads on Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. Eastern. The second half of that Nexstar doubleheader will be the previously announced men’s basketball matchup between Chattanooga and UNC Greensboro that day at 5 p.m. WSPA Sports Director Pete Yanity will provide play-by-play and former Wofford All-American offensive lineman Jared Singleton will serve as analyst for that day’s football broadcast, while David Jackson (play-by-play) and Matt Matheny (analyst) will have the call at UNCG.
 
The following Saturday, Feb. 27, will see another Nexstar doubleheader, as The Citadel will visit Mercer at 3:30 p.m. on the gridiron, followed by Wofford hosting rival Furman on the hardwood at 7 p.m. to close out the regular season for both squads. Jackson and Singleton will have the call from Macon, Georgia, while Yanity and Dean Keener will relay the action from Spartanburg, South Carolina.
 
A full day of Nexstar men’s quarterfinal coverage at the Ingles SoCon Basketball Championships presented by General Shale follows on Saturday, March 6, while the women’s title game will air on select Nexstar stations on Sunday, March 7. Yanity and Keener will have the call for those four men’s games, while Yanity will be joined by analyst Robin Muller for the women’s championship tilt.
 
Each game in the Nexstar packages will air concurrently on ESPN+. The remainder of the football broadcast schedule is being finalized and will be announced later.
 
Samford visits VMI on Saturday, Feb. 13, in men’s basketball action for a previously announced Ingles SoCon Game of the Week. Yanity and Matheny will have the call from Lexington, Virginia.
 
Nexstar affiliates with the opportunity to air games are: WCBD (Charleston), WGHP (Greensboro/High Point), WJHL (Johnson City), WWCW (Lynchburg/Roanoke) and WYCW (Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville). New for this season, WMYT in Charlotte, North Carolina, will carry the entire football package. Although not a Nexstar station, WMUB (Macon), Mercer University Broadcasting, will also air select contests.
