Commish Chat is a series of one-on-one interviews between Southern Conference Commissioner Jim Schaus and various student-athletes, coaches, administrators, media members and more as they discuss SoCon athletics and issues that affect college athletics on a broader scale.

Schaus's guest for Season 2, Episode 3 is UNC Greensboro men's basketball coach Mike Jones. A two-time Big South Conference Coach of the Year during his 10-year tenure at Radford, Jones is in his first year leading the Spartans and has UNCG off to a 7-2 start to the season.

Schaus and Jones talk about what drew Jones to taking the UNCG job, his initial impressions of the Southern Conference, what he views as his keys for success at UNCG, and program culture and how important it is.
