SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference men’s basketball games between Western Carolina and UNC Greensboro in Cullowhee, North Carolina, on Wednesday, Dec. 29, and Western Carolina and ETSU in Johnson City, Tennessee, on Saturday, Jan. 1, have been postponed due to positive COVID tests and quarantine requirements within the Western Carolina program.
 
The league will attempt to reschedule both games.
 
Two league games remain on the schedule for Wednesday, as Samford will visit Furman and Wofford will host VMI to open SoCon play, both at 7 p.m. ET. Chattanooga hosts ETSU on Thursday at 7 p.m. on ESPNU in the conference opener for both squads.
 
UNCG will now open league play Saturday when it hosts Wofford at 5 p.m. Western Carolina is now scheduled to play its first league game on Wednesday, Jan. 5, when it hosts The Citadel.
