SoCon alters COVID rescheduling policies for all sports

Conference games that cannot be contested due to COVID-related issues will result in a “no contest” instead of a forfeit for every sport

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Following Monday’s announcement that the Southern Conference is modifying its COVID-19 rescheduling policies for men’s and women’s basketball for the 2021-22 season, the league on Tuesday announced that conference games or matches that cannot be contested due to COVID-related issues will result in a “no contest” instead of a forfeit for every SoCon sport.
 
Affected contests can be rescheduled.
 
The Campbell at Gardner-Webb wrestling dual from Dec. 19 will be retroactively changed to a no contest and can be rescheduled.
