SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford women’s basketball player Alexis Tomlin has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from Nov. 24-30. The selection is made by the conference office.

Tomlin led the Terriers in their 74-52 victory over High Point on Tuesday, Nov. 30, scoring nine points and adding 12 rebounds to help Wofford secure the nonconference win over the Panthers and improve to 2-5 overall. The senior forward’s 12 rebounds were just one shy of a career high, while with nine points scored, she just missed her third double-double of the season. Tomlin maintains a 4.00 grade point average and is pursuing degrees in biology and mathematics. She was accepted into her top choice for medical school, the Medical University of South Carolina, at the conclusion of Tuesday night’s game.

Wofford will travel to Conway, South Carolina, on Saturday, Dec. 4, for a nonconference game against Coastal Carolina at 4 p.m., before hosting Brevard on Wednesday, Dec. 8, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, at 7 p.m.
