SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Five regular-season Southern Conference men’s basketball games will air on CBS Sports Network this season.
 
“We are very excited about our new CBS Sports Network agreement that expands our national linear television coverage to be among the best nationally among our peers,” SoCon Commissioner Jim Schaus said. “It speaks to the continued success in men’s basketball that ranked us in the top 10 conferences nationally last year among 32 Division I conferences.
 
“Thanks to the outstanding leadership at CBS Sports for making this partnership a reality.”
 
The first game in the package will be Saturday, Jan. 15, when Furman visits preseason SoCon favorite Chattanooga at 3 p.m. That game is moving up one hour from its previously announced start time.
 
Wildcard games follow on Jan. 29 and Feb. 5, both Saturdays. The matchups will be determined in the weeks leading up to the contests.
 
The Citadel and VMI will square off on national television on Saturday, Feb. 12, with the Keydets hosting their military rivals at 3:30 p.m. That game has been moved back two and a half hours from its previously announced 1 p.m. start.
 
The SoCon’s CBS Sports Network slate wraps up on Sunday, Feb. 27, when ETSU visits UNCG in the league’s final regular-season contest. Opening tip will be moved back one hour from its previously announced time to 4 p.m.
