SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Nexstar Broadcasting, Inc., Ingles Markets and the Southern Conference announced Thursday that they will partner to broadcast 10 SoCon men’s basketball regular-season games, the men’s tournament quarterfinal games and the women’s tournament final throughout the league’s six-state footprint across a network of Nexstar stations.
 
“We are excited to be working with Nexstar Broadcasting and the many quality affiliates we have for these games that are aired throughout the Southeast,” SoCon Commissioner Jim Schaus said. “Coming off a year when SoCon men’s basketball was ranked No. 10 nationally, this provides another opportunity to promote our brand and product to our many fans in these areas.”
 
The “Ingles SoCon Game of the Week” broadcast package will start Sunday, Nov. 21, when Furman hosts Navy in the first of three regular-season appearances for the Paladins.
 
Wofford hosts Kennesaw State in the next Nexstar broadcast on Sunday, Dec. 5, before the schedule shifts primarily to Saturday games, starting Jan. 1 when Chattanooga visits Mercer.
 
Next up, Samford hosts consecutive Nexstar games, welcoming Western Carolina on Jan. 8 and ETSU on Jan. 15. Preseason SoCon favorite Chattanooga heads to VMI for the Jan. 22 contest, followed by Samford and Western Carolina meeting again on Nexstar on Jan. 29 in Cullowhee, North Carolina.
 
Defending SoCon champion UNCG hosts Mercer on Sunday, Feb. 13, followed by Wofford visiting rival Furman and the Paladins heading to The Citadel to close out the regular-season portion of the package on Feb. 19 and 26, respectively.
 
The quarterfinals of the Ingles SoCon Men’s Basketball Championship on Saturday, March 5, will air on Nexstar stations, as will the women’s final on Sunday, March 6.
 
Each game in the package will also air concurrently on ESPN+, and all 10 SoCon men’s basketball programs will be featured at some point during the season.
 
Nexstar affiliates with the opportunity to air games are: ECBD (Charleston), WGHP (Greensboro/High Point), WJHL (Johnson City), WMYT (Charlotte), WWCW (Lynchburg/Roanoke), WYCW (Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville), and new for this season, WBTW in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Although not a Nexstar station, WMUB (Macon), Mercer University Broadcasting, will also air select contests.
