SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference has hired Laura Granger as its executive assistant to the commissioner.
 
In addition to assisting SoCon Commissioner Jim Schaus, Granger will oversee numerous administrative tasks, including the day-to-day operation of the SoCon office. She will also aid in the management of the conference’s business and financial operations and assist with the planning and execution of conference meetings. Granger will also serve as a liaison between the league office and SoCon member institutions.
 
Granger spent 13 years as an executive/personal assistant and 16 years as a freelance graphic designer, previously working at Super Duper Publications in Greenville, South Carolina, in both roles. She also worked with Prism Content Solutions as a content specialist contractor and for Cox CustomMedia as a layout artist.
 
“Laura will be an outstanding addition to our team,” Schaus said. “She is a great people-person, has tremendous enthusiasm and brings a variety of experiences to a position that takes on many important roles for the conference.”
