SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Saturday’s Southern Conference men’s basketball game between Western Carolina and Samford, scheduled to take place in Birmingham, Alabama, at 7 p.m. Central, has been postponed due to positive COVID tests and quarantine requirements within Western Carolina’s program.
 
Samford (5-4, 1-1 SoCon) is back in action at Chattanooga on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Western Carolina (7-3, 0-1) is scheduled to return to action on Jan. 13 when it hosts UNC Greensboro at 4 p.m.

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wednesday’s Southern Conference men’s basketball game between The Citadel and Mercer, scheduled to take place in Macon, Georgia, at 7 p.m., has been postponed due to COVID-related issues within Mercer’s program.
 
The Citadel (7-0, 0-0 SoCon) has seen all three of its scheduled SoCon games postponed so far and will now open its league slate when it hosts Chattanooga on Saturday at 1 p.m. for the Ingles SoCon Game of the Week on select Nexstar affiliates. Mercer (7-3, 0-2) is next scheduled to visit UNC Greensboro on Saturday at 2 p.m.
