Furman's Davidson Inks Professional Contract

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Furman women’s basketball standout Le’Jzae Davidson has signed a contract to join KBF Bashkimi in the Kosovo Super League, it was recently announced.

Located in Prizren, Kosovo, KBF Bashkimi finished 14-1 last season in the Kosovo Super League.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to continue chasing my dreams,” Davidson said. “Going pro was something that I always wanted to do so I’m very blessed to be given the chance to go overseas and continue to do what I love.”

The senior averaged a team-leading 14.2 points per game in 2019-20 to lead the Paladins to a 19-12 overall record and an appearance in the semifinals of the SoCon Women’s Basketball Championship. A consensus Second Team All-SoCon selection, Davidson concluded her collegiate career third all-time in scoring with 1,753 points.

“You have to be a truly special player to sign a professional contract during today’s COVID climate,” added Furman head coach Jackie Carson. “That is exactly what Le’Jzae Davidson is…special. I am so proud of her perseverance, hard work and determination in reaching her dream of being a professional athlete.”

A three-time All-SoCon selection, Davidson is the program’s all-time leader in three-point shooting with 324 triples. She appeared in 127 games throughout her career and broke the SoCon’s all-time record for three-pointers attempted. Davidson finished her career second for the SoCon in three-pointers made. She averaged 13.8 points per game in four seasons for the Paladins.
