KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Three Southern Conference men’s soccer teams and three women’s teams were among the 903 soccer teams (341 men, 562 women) that earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2019-20 academic year. Mercer and UNCG were two of 183 schools that had both their men’s and women’s programs recognized.

To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player’s GPA, then dividing by the number of players.
