SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Three Southern Conference men’s lacrosse student-athletes earned Maverik Men's DI Media All-America honorable mention, Inside Lacrosse announced Wednesday.
Mercer attack Sean Goldsmith and Richmond long stick midfielder Sean Menges and defender Jason Reynolds were among those to earn the distinction.
Goldsmith, a Jamestown, North Carolina, native, finished the short season with 34 goals, 42 points and eight assists. Goldsmith led the nation in goals per game with 4.86. He set a career high and tied a Mercer and Southern Conference high with seven goals in a game twice this season. He first reached the milestone against Wagner on Feb. 29 before matching it four days later against St. Bonaventure.

He led the Spiders with 26 ground balls in the first seven games of the season and was second on the team with nine caused turnovers. Menges earned SoCon Defensive Player of the Week honors in the opening week, causing a career-high six turnovers against No. 4 Maryland.
