SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU men’s basketball player Isaiah Tisdale has been named the General Shale Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition March 4-10. The selection is made by the league office. 
 
Tisdale was named the most outstanding player at the Ingles Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Championship presented by General Shale as he led the Bucs to a 72-54 win over Wofford, earning the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. The senior from Lexington, Kentucky, averaged 16.3 points, four rebounds and 1.3 assists over three tournament games, with shooting averages of 68 percent from the field, 50 percent from beyond the arc and 94.4 percent at the foul line. Tisdale opened the tournament with 12 points and eight rebounds against VMI and followed with 13 points and four rebounds in the semifinal win over Western Carolina. In the final, Tisdale led all scorers with 25 points while shooting 4-of-7 from three and hitting a career-high 10 free throws.
 
Tisdale is an interdisciplinary studies major and currently holds a 3.321 grade point average.
 
The Bucs will learn their next opponent on Sunday, March 15, during the 2020 March Madness Selection Show at 6 p.m. on CBS.
