MACON, Ga. – Former Mercer Bear Paige Alsten became the first Bear in volleyball history to sign a pro contract, coming to terms with Club Sportiv Universitar Targu Mures in Romania.
 
Alsten spent four years with the Orange and Black, breaking and setting multiple records in her time at Mercer. In her career, she ranks first in attack percentage (.320), block assists (364), total blocks (443), and bocks per set (1.07). She ranks third in career kills (1,114) and block solos (79).
 
During her junior season, Paige set a career-high 23 kills against Western Carolina on October 27. In her senior season, she set the single-season school record for hitting percentage with .342. She also notched her 1,000^th career kill and 400^th total block.
 
In her time at Mercer, Alsten racked up multiple awards and accolades, both academic and athletic. She was named the Southern Conference Defensive Player of the Week (2015), Offensive Player of the Week (2017), All-Freshman Team (2015), Preseason Team (2017, 2018), Student-Athlete of the Week (2017), All-SoCon Second Team (2017), Academic Honor Roll (2017), Academic Team (2017), and All-SoCon First Team (2018).

Clubul Sportiv Universitar Targu Mures is a multi-sport club based in Targu Mures, Romania. The Club was founded in December 2017 by the local council of Targu Mures and began its activity in the summer of 2018.
