Andre Roberts (The Citadel) opened the Bills vs. Seahawks game with a huge 60-yard kick return, which placed the Bills’ ball on the Seattle 45-yard line. This marked his longest kick return of the season, as he topped his previous longest return of 58 yards against the New York Jets on Oct. 25. Roberts returned two kicks for a total of 80 yards and a punt for 11 yards in the Bills’ 44-34 win over the Seahawks.
With only four seconds left in the game, the San Francisco 49ers’ Jerick McKinnon (Georgia Southern) ran the ball into the end zone under the lights of Thursday Night Football. The 49ers were on third-and-goal in a last-minute attempt to score six more points in the team’s 34-17 loss to the Green Bay Packers. In addition to his rushing touchdown, McKinnon racked up a total of three receptions for 16 yards and 12 carries for 52 yards for Week 9.
Jaquiski Tartt (Samford) returned to the field this week after missing the last two games due to a groin injury. The former Samford safety had one pass defended and made three solo tackles on the 49ers’ defensive side of the ball.
Younghoe Koo (Georgia Southern) placed the first points on the board for the Atlanta Falcons Sunday with a 52-yard field goal, which was just two yards short of his season-best kick of 54 yards. Koo went 2-for-2 on field goals and 4-for-4 on point-after attempts in the Falcons’ 34-27 win over the Denver Broncos.
Keion Crossen (Western Carolina) made a couple of impact plays in the Texans’ 27-25 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Late in the third quarter, Crossen ran in at full momentum for a big third-down stop for Houston, as the Jaguars were looking for a first down in the red zone but settled for a field goal after the 1-yard loss. The former Catamount cornerback later recovered an on-side kick with less than two minutes left to seal the game and finished with two solo tackles and one assist Sunday afternoon.
The Chicago Bears’ Buster Skrine (Chattanooga) made four solo tackles in Tennessee, with one that stopped the Titans’ running back on the line of scrimmage.
C.J. Board (Chattanooga) suited back up this week for the New York Giants’ 23-20 win against the Washington Football Team. Board was placed on injured reserve for two weeks due to a concussion when the Giants last played Washington in Week 6. In his Week 9 return, Board made one reception for 10 yards.
Defensive tackle Isaiah Mack (Chattanooga) was claimed off waivers by the New England Patriots after the Tennessee Titans released him last week. Mack appeared in a total of 19 career games with the Titans with one start.
