Matt Breida (Georgia Southern) and Jaquiski Tartt (Samford) took the same field Sunday in San Francisco, with Breida going over 2,000 career rushing yards in the contest. The Miami Dolphins’ running back racked up a total of 28 rushing yards and one reception for 31 yards in Miami’s 43-17 win over the 49ers. Throughout his four years in the NFL, Breida now has a total of 2,002 career rushing yards and 10 touchdowns.
Tartt made a season-high seven tackles, including a season-high five solo stops, in the loss to the Dolphins. He last made five solo tackles during Super Bowl LIV against the Kansas City Chiefs. So far this season, Tartt is tied first in interceptions (one) and tied for third in solo tackles (17) on the team.
James Bradberry is currently ranked No. 2 in the Pro Football Focus’ (PFF) highest graded corner this season. Bradberry has a 77.9 overall grade, which is the highest on the New York Giants’ defense in the first five weeks of the season.
Andre Roberts had his best statistical game this season against the Tennessee Titans with six kick returns for 138 yards and one reception for 16 yards. Roberts toed the sideline with a completion from Josh Allen in the Bills’ 42-16 loss at Tennessee.
Younghoe Koo contributed 10 points in the Falcons’ 23-16 loss to their conference rival Carolina Panthers. Koo went 3-for-3 on field goals and made one extra point.
Buster Skrine and the Chicago Bears took the Thursday Night Football stage against Tampa Bay with a 20-19 win. Skrine made three solo tackles as the Bears continued to “beat the odds” in moving to 4-1 on the season.
Daniel Kilgore made his first season appearance at center in the Kansas City Chiefs’ 40-32 loss against the Las Vegas Raiders.
