The Bulldogs fell 14-9 at FBS Army West Point on Saturday

CHICAGO – Stats Perform has named The Citadel its FCS Team of the Week and defensive back Sean-Thomas Faulkner its FCS Co-Player of the Week after the Bulldogs’ 14-9 loss at FBS Army West Point on Saturday.

The Citadel held the Black Knights to just 153 rushing yards, nearly 200 below their season average of 350.5 per game. The Bulldogs led 3-0 on a Colby Kintner field goal as time expired in the first quarter before Army scored touchdowns in the second and third quarters. The Citadel found the end zone late in the fourth quarter for the final margin as it finished within five points of its FBS opponent.

Faulkner, a redshirt junior from Easley, South Carolina, finished with a career-high 16 tackles in the loss, good for an FCS single-game high this season. Nine of his tackles were solo stops, including one for loss.

Saturday’s contest was The Citadel’s final game of the fall. The Bulldogs took on three FBS teams in a season for the first time in program history.
