SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU’s Bo Hodges has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week presented by GEICO for all contests from Jan. 21-27 after scoring a career-high 27 points in a Bucs win Saturday. The award is selected by the league office.
 
Hodges was 12-for-17 from the floor (70.6 percent), grabbing eight rebounds and adding a career-best five steals to lead ETSU to a 75-64 win over in-state rival Chattanooga. The Nashville, Tennessee, junior scored the Bucs’ first 12 points of the contest and 14 of the first 17 en route to the win, becoming just the seventh Division I player since 2010-11 to post at least 27 points, eight rebounds, five steals, two blocks and two assists in a game.
 
The win moved ETSU’s home record to 12-0 this season, matching the Bucs’ best home start since at least the 2003-04 season.
 
ETSU (18-3, 7-1 SoCon) hosts Mercer (10-11, 4-4) on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and UNC Greensboro (16-5, 6-2) on Saturday at 4 p.m.
