FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Mocs women's golf team turned in 304 Saturday at the Mason Rudolph Championships. That gives the group a 596 total which puts them in 11th, three ahead of Northwestern in 12th and five clear of Missouri in 13th.
Maddy McDanel's 73 led the way. She finished strong with birdies on the par 4 17th and par 5 18th holes. Esme Hamilton and Michaela Kulhankova added 76 and 77, respectively to the team score while Rheagan Hall posted 78. Dorota Zalewska's 81 was the drop tally. Kirsty Beckwith shot 75 playing as an individual.
McDanel is tied for 27th with 3-over 147 over the first 36 holes. Hamilton is one behind her at 148 followed by Hall (152), Zalewska (154) and Kulhankova (158). Beckwith's 154 is tied with Zalewska playing as an individual.
Host Vanderbilt and Charlotte are tied atop the team leaderboard with 575. Clemson is third at 578. The 49ers Ashley Fowler paces the medalist race at 7 under.
Chattanooga leads off No. 10 for Sunday's final round at 9:45 a.m. Admission is free for the easy drive up from the Scenic City.
