SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Mercer women’s lacrosse player Audrey Robertson has been named the General Shale Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from May 1-7. This selection was made by the league office.
Robertson had a standout week, being named the SoCon Defensive Player of the Year as well as being named to the All-SoCon first team for the second straight season. In the conference tournament this past weekend, she helped led the Bears to a conference tournament title win with wins over Central Michigan and Furman in Greenville, South Carolina. The senior recorded four draw controls, six caused turnovers, five ground balls, one goal and one assist on the week. In the Bears’ NCAA tournament play-in game against Jacksonville on Tuesday afternoon, she led the Bears with three caused turnovers and two ground balls.
Robertson currently holds a 3.504 grade point average in global health.
