CHATTANOOGA, TENN.  - The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team extended its winning streak to seven with a 5-2 victory over UT Martin today. The Mocs improved to 7-2 overall and are on their longest run of wins since 2016.   

The Skyhawks made it tough early, taking the doubles point with the No. 2 and No. 3 matches. Senior Delaney Edwards and sophomore Emma Van Hee won 7-5 at No. 1 to move to 6-2 in the top doubles spot. 

Chattanooga bounced back by taking the first set in four of the six singles matches. Edwards was first off with a win at No. 4. She is now 3-0 in that spot with three-straight wins.

Sophomore Bogdana Zaporozhets snapped a two-match slide with her win at No. 2. That gave the Mocs a 2-1 lead that they would not relinquish. 

Senior Caroline Hall put UTC up 3-1 with her win at No. 3, while Van Hee clinched the match at No. 5. Both Hall and Van Hee are riding seven-match winning streaks of their own in individual singles play. 

UTM scored at No. 1, and freshman Anna Didkovskaya closed out the match with a three-set victory at No. 6.

Up next for the Mocs is a trip to Tennessee on March 2.  First serve is set for 4:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) in Knoxville, Tenn.
