SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Phil Steele Magazine released its All-America and Freshman All-America teams recently, with the Southern Conference well represented on both lists.

Eleven SoCon student-athletes earned All-America honors from Phil Steele, including first-team honoree Isaiah Mack of Chattanooga on the defensive line.

Furman freshman linebacker Adrian Hope was the a fourth-team All-America pick and was the lone freshman selected on any of the four squads.

Hope also headlined the All-Freshman team, as he was one of seven SoCon selections on the first teams and one of 16 SoCon picks overall. Hope was named the Defensive Freshman of the Year, while Citadel punter Matthew Campbell was named the Special Teams Freshman of the Year.
