SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Chattanooga forward Chloe Arnold has been named the Southern Conference women’s soccer player of the week for all competition Aug. 20-26.

Chattanooga went 1-1-0 on the week, suffering a loss at South Alabama but rebounding with a 3-0 shutout at Troy. Arnold, a sophomore, scored the lone goal in the loss to the Jaguars and then netted the game-winner against the Trojans two days later. The Bristol, Tennessee native has five goals in four games and leads the SoCon in both points (11) and goals (5).

The Mocs host Georgia State Friday, Aug. 31 and then travel to Nashville for a showdown with Lipscomb on Sunday, Sept. 2. 

Also nominated: Maria Contreras (The Citadel), Rachel Harbin (ETSU), Claudia Murphy (Furman), Abigail Zoeller (Mercer), Kaley Tucker (UNCG), Erin Bonner (Samford), Sierra Brewer (VM) and Natalia Icen (Western Carolina).
