SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU’s Ioanna Markesini has been named the Southern Conference women’s tennis player of the week for all matches played Feb. 13-19, the conference announced Tuesday.
Markesini won both singles matches at the No. 1 spot last week as ETSU finished 1-1. Markesini picked up her first win on Feb. 17 as she downed West Virginia’s Christina Jordan 6-1, 6-2.
