SPARTANBURG, S.C. – UNCG’s Nadine Soliman has been named the General Shale Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from Dec. 12-18.
The junior averaged 18.3 points per game and nine rebounds in three games last week while also totaling five assists and six steals. She also shot 37.8 percent from the floor and 45 percent from the 3-point line. At North Carolina, Soliman recorded a double-double with a game-high 28 points and 12 rebounds and hit the game winner against Liberty to extend the Spartan’s home win streak to six games.
She was also named the SoCon Women’s Basketball Player of the Week on Tuesday.
The Cario, Egypt, native currently holds a 3.66 grade point average in Communication studies.
The Spartans travel this week to West Palm Beach, Florida, to compete in the West Palm Beach Invitational. They are set to face Eastern Michigan on Thursday and Seton Hall on Friday.
