SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU forward Jeromy Rodriguez has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for all contests Dec. 4-10. The award is selected by the league office.

Rodriguez notched his sixth double-double of the season in the Bucs’ 80-62 win over UT Martin on Saturday, finishing with a career-high 21 points and pulling down 16 rebounds as ETSU rallied from a five-point halftime deficit and an eight-point second-half hole for the 18-point win.

The redshirt junior from Santiago, Dominican Republic, was 8-for-11 from the floor (72.7 percent) and added three assists, a blocked shot and a steal. His 16 rebounds marked the ninth time in 11 games he’s reached double figures this year and his third effort of 15 or more.

Rodriguez leads NCAA Division I in total rebounds (136) and is second in rebounds per game (12.4) and third in offensive rebounds per game (4.45). He is tied for sixth with his six double-doubles.

ETSU (8-3, 0-1 SoCon) returns to action on Saturday at Illinois.
