SPARTANBURG, S.C. – UNCG goalkeeper Jon Milligan has been named the Southern Conference men’s soccer player of the week for all competition from Sept. 18-24 after recording two shutout victories for the Spartans.  

Milligan, a junior from Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, totaled six saves on the week. Against Campbell, Milligan recorded four saves as UNCG won the game 1-0. Milligan registered two saves against Appalachian State to help the Spartans prevail 1-0 in overtime. Milligan has now recorded three shutouts in a row and currently boasts a goals against average of 0.85.

Milligan and UNCG now turn to Southern Conference play, travelling to ETSU on Tuesday to face the Bucs at 7 p.m. ET.
