SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Steady rains and wet field conditions forced the cancellation of the Furman-UNCG and ETSU-Western Carolina softball series finales that were slated for Sunday afternoon.
Furman (26-18, 8-3 SoCon) returns to action on Tuesday, April 25th when they travel to Boiling Springs, North Carolina, to face Gardner-Webb in a 4 p.m. doubleheader to conclude the non-conference slate. The twinbill was originally scheduled for March, but postponed due to inclement weather.
UNCG (24-20, 7-4 SoCon) returns to the field Wednesday, April 26th as they host the Presbyterian Blue Hose for a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 p.m.
ETSU (21-20, 7-4 SoCon) is also back in action Wednesday when the Bucs wrap up non-conference play with a road doubleheader at Morehead State. First pitch is set for 2 p.m. in Morehead, Kentucky.
Western Carolina (13-24, 3-8 SoCon) returns to action Tuesday, hosting Virginia Tech for a doubleheader set to begin at 4 p.m. Both games will be streamed on the SoCon Digital Network with Kyle Rush providing play-by-play.
