SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU’s T.J. Cromer has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for all games played Jan. 31 to Feb. 6. Cromer averaged 24.0 points per game as the Bucs split a pair of road games at VMI and Wofford on the week.

The senior from Albany, Georgia, scored 24 points in consecutive games, first in an 81-71 win at VMI on Thursday and again in a 79-76 loss at Wofford on Monday. Against the Keydets, Cromer went 9-for-15 from the floor and 4-for-8 from 3-point range. Against the Terriers, Cromer was 8-for-13 from the floor and 5-for-7 from beyond the arc, also pulling down five rebounds on the evening.

For the week, Cromer shot 60.7 percent from the field (17-for-28) and 60 percent from 3-point range (9-for-15). He was a perfect 5-for-5 from the free-throw line.

Cromer, who has won the league’s weekly award twice this season and three times in his career, is second in the SoCon in scoring at 18.4 points per game and 3-pointers made per game at 3.0.

ETSU (18-6, 8-3 SoCon) returns to action Thursday when it hosts The Citadel (9-16, 2-10) at 7 p.m.
