SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Mercer forward Will Bagrou has been named the Southern Conference men’s soccer player of the week for all competition from Oct. 9-15 after scoring two goals and registering an assist in a tie against ETSU and a win against Wofford.

The Dacula, Georgia, native was a force against Wofford, scoring a pair of goals and dishing out an assist in the 4-1 victory for the Bears. The win snapped Wofford’s three-game win streak and gave Bagrou 35 career goals, including a Southern Conference-best 10 this year.

This marks the second time this season Bagrou has won the award (Sept. 12). Mercer will host Furman on Tuesday before traveling to UNCG on Saturday.

Also nominated: Josiah Baker (Furman) and Zach Aversano (Wofford).
