Seoposenwe named Women's Soccer Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – For the second straight week, Samford forward Jermaine Seoposenwe has been named the Southern Conference women’s soccer player of the week for all competition from Oct. 9-15 after scoring a goal and registering three assists in a pair of Bulldog wins.

Samford traveled to Mercer on Friday, where Seoposenwe set up her teammates three times to help lift the Bulldogs to a 3-1 win over the Bears. On Sunday, the senior from Cape Town, South Africa, drilled a penalty kick as Samford outlasted The Citadel 2-1. Seoposenwe has now collected at least one point in five straight games and is a perfect 11-for-11 on penalty kicks for her career.

The Bulldogs will return home to close out the season, hosting Wofford on Friday and welcoming Furman on Sunday.

Also nominated: Cierra Skyers (The Citadel), Molly Dwyer (Furman), Regan Lehman (UNCG), Chloe Arnold (Chattanooga), Megan McCallister (Western Carolina) and Hayley Younginer (Wofford).
