SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU women’s soccer player Eleonora Goldoni has been named the General Shale Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for competition held Oct. 4-10, the league office announced Wednesday.

Goldoni, a junior from Ferrara, Italy, scored a natural hat trick in a 4-2 win over The Citadel last week. Two of Goldoni’s goals were unassisted as the forward put constant pressure on the Bulldogs, totaling 13 shots in the game. 

Goldoni, who is a nutrition major, sports a 3.95 grade point average. 

Also nominated for SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week: Andy Schumpert (Furman football), Tee Mitchell (Mercer football), Ally Ford (Chattanooga volleyball) and Sayres McKenna (Western Carolina women’s soccer).
