LEXINGTON, Va. – Looking to start the 2016-17 season off on the right foot, the VMI mixed and women's rifle teams defeated The Citadel on Saturday afternoon at Kilbourne Hall.

The mixed team topped the Citadel mixed team by a 4479-4459 ratio while the VMI women's team defeated The Citadel women by a 4423-4139 margin.
