CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team scored a solid 6-1 win over Alabama State in non-conference action today. The Mocs swept the doubles and won five of six singles to improve to 12-6 overall.

"This was a good match for us," stated head coach Jeff Clark. "Everybody got to play and was got a win against a good team."
The Mocs kept their regular lineup in singles, and won the first five matches in straight sets. Coots won her first set over Marine Cartier (6-2), but lost the second (6-4). Cartier won the match with a 10-7 win in the super tiebreaker.
The Mocs are back on the road this weekend with a trip to Furman. First serve is set for 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, in Greenville, S.C.
