SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Citadel’s Nicholas Bradley has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for all matches played Feb. 8-14. Bradley was a perfect 8-0 in singles and doubles play as the Bulldogs went 4-0 last week.
Bradley earned four straight-set wins last week, competing at both No. 1 and No. 2 singles. He dropped just 17 games in the four singles matches and now boasts seven singles victories this spring, which is tied for the highest mark on the team.
The sophomore spent the week at No. 1 doubles. He was paired with Artemie Amari for three wins last week and teamed with Jackson Pride for his fourth win of the week. Bradley has spent the spring season at No. 1 doubles and owns a mark of 7-6 with three different partners. His seven doubles wins are a team high.
The Citadel returns to action Saturday (Feb. 20) when the Bulldogs travel to Tallahassee, Fla., where they will take on Florida A&M and Florida State.
Other top performers in the Southern Conference included Furman’s Adam Steryous and Samford’s Trey Carter.
